Stastic Designer

Overview

Stastic Designer is a work in progress tool that aims to create a drag and drop universal template editor based on the Silex open-source website builder. Currently, it is compatible with Jekyll and 11ty, but no documentation is available yet. The tool offers both a desktop app for local usage and an online mode for working without installation. It includes features such as a template panel for writing HTML+liquid code, publication support for 11ty and Jekyll, component loading, and a tool for converting selected elements into components. It also provides support for various adapters like 11ty, Jekyll, Forestry, and Salesforce Pardot.

Installation

To install Stastic Designer, follow these steps:

1. Please refer to the Silex Desktop installation instructions.
2. Create a website using Silex, with one page for each page type in the final website.
3. Select elements that should come from the CMS and designate them as templates.
4. Publish the website to a folder that contains a Jekyll or 11ty website, either on GitHub or locally.
